SAR Steamers

So, here is the layout, with a thoroughly thought-out plausible reason for existence, circa 1976 and all … with examples of SAR’s RX, 600 and 720 class steam engines. Wait a minute, I hear those learned souls out there say … 600s and 720s didn’t make it to the 1970s?! Just as I chose to create a “fourth” VR and SAR interchange, the lure of those Webb engines proved too much … so the Border District is also home to the TSRPS … the Tatiara Shire Railway Preservation Society. Fortunately, the TSRPS had the foresight to ensure the preservation of a range of SAR and VR steam power. They even managed to preserve a coal stage, but that is a story for another post …Three steamers_TAT
